Our Story

Our Beginning

Milkweed Farm is a family owned farm in Lovettsville, VA.  We began this farm as a way to provide healthy, clean food for our children.  We wanted to teach them how to raise food with love and respect for every life which is entrusted to us.  Chickens should scratch in the garden, fields, and forest.  Pigs should dig through rotting logs and search through leaves for nuts.  When we allow this, the animals are happy and as a result, the food they produce for us is healthy and delicious.  Life is precious and we respect it in all stages.
